First Day of School:     28th of August 2025

Term 1:

Mid Term Break:     Monday 27th of October to Friday 31st of October 2025

Winter Closure:     Monday 22nd of December 2025 to Friday 2nd of January 2026

 

Term 2:

Imbolc/St Brigid’s Day Closure:     Monday 3rd of February 2026

Mid Term Break:     Monday 16th of February 2026 to Friday 20th of February 2026 **

Dept of Education Staff Training Day Closure:     Tuesday 3rd of March 2026

St Patrick’s Day Closure:     Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th of March 2026

Spring Closure:     Monday 30th of March 2026 to Friday 10th of April 2026

 

Term 3:

May Bank Holiday Closure: Monday 5th May 2026

June Bank Holiday Closure:     Monday 2nd June 2026

Final Day:     Friday 26th June 2026

 

 

Please note: The Department of Education may direct that schools close for training. We will notify parents as soon as is practicable.

** Where contingency arrangements are required a school authority may reduce the length of the February mid-term break by remaining open up to and including Wednesday 18th of February 2026. 

Spring Closure 2026 – All schools will close on Friday 27th of March 2026, which will be the final day of the school term, unless changes are required as part of contingency arrangements to make up for time lost due to unforeseen school closures. Where contingency arrangements are required a school authority may reduce the length of the Spring Closure by remaining open up to and including Wednesday 1st of April 2026.  All schools will reopen on Monday 13th of April 2026.
